ALUMNAE
"Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget"

SDT Alumnae Associations

Participating in a local Alumnae Association is a great way to stay connected and involved. Through affiliation in Alumnae Associations, alumnae can serve our local communities, develop valuable career networks, assist local chapters, help support our national philanthropic efforts and continue to live the values and mission of Sigma Delta Tau. Most of all, they are a fantastic way to create new friendships and special memories.

We welcome alumnae to join an association in their area. SDT currently has several active alumnae associations. If you would like contact information on an association in your area, please contact nationaloffice@sigmadeltatau.com. If there is not an association in your area, we encourage you to develop one! SDT is always looking for organized, motivated and dedicated alumnae to help create associations in all cities and towns where SDT sisters live. To request a copy of the Stay Connected handbook, outlining how to start an alumnae association, please contact the SDT National Office.

CAREER AND MENTORING NETWORK

Sigma Delta Tau's career networking program, SIG-NET, was established in the fall of 1984. Operating through the National Office, SIG-NET offers alumnae and graduating seniors the opportunity to contact other SDTs in their career field or their new location.

When you register in SIG-NET, you are eligible to request information from our files which may enable you to:
- find a mentor in your chosen career
- answer questions concerning a particular profession
- put alumnae in touch with one another upon relocation
- assist SDTs entering or re-entering the job market

Undergraduates seeking career information and mentoring are urged to register through the computerized data file in the SDT National Office. Alumnae seeking a new career, moving to a new city, or looking to assist a recent graduate have benefitted from our services. Sisters can register in our SIG-NET program by visiting the Alumnae page on the SDT National Office.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Sigma Delta Tau works hard to provide each undergraduate chapter with an active local advisory board.  All local boards are anxious for more volunteers! If you would like more information on how to get involved, please contact the SDT National Office at: nationaloffice@sigmadeltatau.com.

Sigma Delta Tau wants news about you!  Do you have a new home, honor, baby or job?  Do you know an SDT who does?  Are you a writer or photographer who might like to contribute to an issue of the TORCH?  Do you have a suggested topic for a special feature?

If so, please send your information to the SDT National Office: nationaloffice@sigmadeltatau.com.
