"The Sig Delts of the Gamma Mu chapter of SDT encompass all that you want college
to be made up of... empowering experiences, supportive friends, school spirit, fun no
matter the circumstance, and a unique bond that no one quite gets. The women that
make up this chapter MAKE your college experience worthwhile."
-Dorrie Kaye, Alpha Lambda

On March 25, 1989 the Gamma Mu chapter of Sigma Delta Tau became the newest addition to the Northeastern University Panhellenic community. Since its installation, Gamma Mu has grown to heights its founders would have only dreamed of. Gamma Mu has been the 'home away from home' for hundreds of scholarly woman at Northeastern, and it continues to evoke a strong sense of family and pride within its members. To date, we remain a strong presence on campus with a successful calendar overflowing with programming events, philanthropic endeavors, sisterhood strengthening activities, and other unique events that make us we who are. The sisters of the Gamma Mu chapter are beyond proud of their continuous efforts and dedication, to not only bettering themselves, but the local and national communities as well.

Located in the heart of Boston, the Gamma Mu girls are a diverse and unique group of cultured young women. You might find a Sig Delt cheering on her favorite baseball team at Fenway Stadium, whether that be the Red Sox or the Yankees, we all get along! She also may be touring around Boston while her family visits, or downtown hanging out (or on Newbury shopping) with her sisters.

Did you know: We have sisters from over 20 states and even a few from outside of the Country?

We make sure to balance work and play however, so if it is a Wednesday night or a Sunday morning, you can catch a group of sisters volunteering at the Yawkey Family Inn in Brookline.

Although we'd like to always be in the same place, a Sig Delt loves to explore. Studying abroad or working on co-op out of state are popular trends for sisters, and they usually travel in packs! What better way to travel and learn than with a sister? We have had sisters spend time studying in Australia, Ireland, England, Spain, Costa Rica, and France, and have built a strong network of worldly opinions and experiences.

Being a member of the Gamma Mu chapter is a truly rewarding experience. Each and every one of the sisters in this group have a story to tell and the time to listen to yours. Sig Delts are girls who were brought together as sisters at heart, and bring a new meaning to the term lifelong friendship.
